EXPO 2025 OSAKA, KANSAI, JAPAN International Conference Report

In 2025, we held the “2025 International Metaverse Conference.” As an official event of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, the conference was organized by the International Metaverse Association under the theme of “The Future of Global Technology through AI × Web3.0 × Metaverse.” Experts, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from around the world gathered to deliver a wide range of presentations and engage in discussions on the potential and challenges that cutting-edge technologies bring to society.

The conference featured lively cross-disciplinary discussions on the following themes:

Multicultural coexistence and international collaboration through digital technologies
Design and ethics for the coexistence of artificial intelligence and humanity
New economic spheres and social infrastructure enabled by Web3.0
Transforming education, healthcare, and the arts through the metaverse

The “International Women’s Leadership Conference,” held concurrently with the main conference under the theme “The Impact of Women’s Leadership on Global Transformation,” brought together women leaders from Japan and around the world who are active in diverse fields, including business, technology, education, public services, the arts, and social activities. Through presentations and discussions, they shared their knowledge and experiences toward building a more inclusive society.

Another major feature of the conference was the participation of young people who will shape the next generation. High school and university students presented AI-related projects and offered proposals from a global perspective, creating a platform that highlighted new possibilities and hope for the society of the future.

The International Conference went beyond simply presenting technologies and delivering lectures. It served as an international platform for creating new value through co-creation, collaboration, and dialogue, and received positive recognition from many participants.

Going forward, the International Metaverse Association will continue to promote international collaboration and practical initiatives toward the realization of a sustainable and inclusive technology-driven society.
